Why we selected it
Selected for James McAvoy's performance — a single body holding a crowd of people, each precisely drawn.
Synopsis
After a birthday party, three young women are taken from a parking lot and locked in a windowless basement. Their captor, Kevin, lives with more than twenty distinct identities, and his psychiatrist suspects something new is gathering among them. Shyamalan keeps the film contained and claustrophobic, building tension from conversation, doorways and the shifting set of a single actor's face.
